How do you feel about the planet that you live on? Your Home planet? Do you wish to save it?
If so, lets start with 5 steps:
1.) Garbage everywhere. And I mean everywhere: in landfills, in the sea, in orbit around the planet, on the ground when you walk down the street. Instead, use it for something. There is a program called: “waste-to-energy” and “zero waste” policies, in several cities and countries: Sweden, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Capanrori in Italy, and New York. The “waste-to-energy” is basically taking the garbage and turning it into energy. “Zero Waste: The conservation of all resources by means of responsible production, consumption, reuse, and recovery of all products, packaging, and materials, without burning them, and without discharges to land, water, or air that threaten the environment or human health.” (see source number 1)
2.) Destruction of Trees. Destroying trees, also destroys the plants and animals that live in them. Trees give off oxygen, which in case you missed it we NEED to breathe. But trees also absorb carbon dioxide that we exhale and they absorb heat-trapping greenhouse gases that our activities emit.
3.) Create and develop new technologies that can save energy and the environment, but are also be sustainable.
4.) Give back what you take. For example, lets go back to number 2 , it your going to cut down trees, then replant 5 to 10 trees in its place.
5.) Respect and Honor Mother Nature (the Earth, Gaia, or whatever you call her.). Several ancient civilizations worshiped Nature and even today there are people who still worship nature. Even if you don’t worship Nature, you can still respect her.
