P.S. This was suppose to be the post for yesterday, but I got to busy.

There are many entertainment items that depict Cthulhu and The Necronomicon, from books to comic books to movies to video games.

So what is your favorite Cthulhu mythos video games?

Mine are: “The Sinking City” & “Call of Cthulhu”.

There is also a new video game that I am looking forward to & that is “The Innsmouth Case”.

So what the H&** am I talking?

The Necronomicon, also called the Book of the Dead or the original Kitab al-Azif, which is a grimoire grimoire (textbook of magic). In the stories of H.p. Lovecraft & many other authors. Many people believe it is fiction, but many others believe that its very real.

The Cthulhu Mythos encompasses the shared elements, characters, settings, and themes found in the works of H.P. Lovecraft and associated horror fiction writers. Together, they form the mythos that authors writing in the Lovecraftian milieu have used — and continue to use — to craft their stories.[1] The term itself was coined by the writer August Derleth. Although this legendarium is also sometimes called the Lovecraft Mythos, most notably by the Lovecraft scholar S.T. Joshi, it has long since moved beyond Lovecraft’s original conception.”

The Sinking City is an action-adventure game developed by Frogwares. Inspired by the works of horror fiction author H. P. Lovecraft, it is set in the fictional city of Oakmont, Massachusetts during the 1920s, the story follows private investigator and war veteran Charles W. Reed as he searches for clues to the cause of the terrifying visions plaguing him, and becomes embroiled in the mystery of Oakmont’s unrelenting flooding.”

Call of Cthulhu is a role-playing survival horror video game developed by Cyanide and published by Focus Home Interactive for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game features a semi-open world environment and incorporates themes of Lovecraftian and psychological horror into a story which includes elements of investigation and stealth. It is inspired by H. P. Lovecraft‘s short story “The Call of Cthulhu“, while also being an adaptation of the 1981 role-playing game of the same title.”

The Innsmouth Case is a detective adventure in the style of an interactive book inspired by the fantastical works of horror legend H.P. Lovecraft. The unique mixture of horror and humor makes The Innsmouth Case the first scary-comedy-text-adventure of its kind. A game in which every decision counts, and there is far more than one way to successfully solve the case … or fail miserably!”
