MOUNT OSORE

Osore-zen Bodai-ji

Number 6 of my “10 Global Hellgates” post.

Mount Osore “the name of a Buddhist temple and folk religion pilgrimage destination in the center of remote Shimokita Peninsula of Aomori Prefecture, in the northern Tōhoku region of northern Japan. The temple is located in the caldera of an active volcano and is believed in Japanese mythology to be one of the gates to the underworld.” It is 1 of 3 most sacred mountains in Japan & has low volcanic activity which gives a stark landscape with steam vents & bubbling pools Its also “a pilgrimage site for parents grieving for their lost children, leaving brightly-colored pinwheels and building little towers of stones in their prayers to Jizo.”

Fear Mountain. The Mountain of Dread. A entrance or doorway to hell. Not only Japanese mediums but other mediums who visit can speak in the voice of loved ones who are on the other side. According to very old Japanese Buddhist lore, the souls of prematurely departed children are sent to a sort of purgatory at Sai no Kawara, a riverbed of the underworld located at the entrance to Hell & the children are tasked with building little pagoda-like towers of pebbles, but ogres chase them away & destroy all of their efforts. However, Jizo, a bodhisattva and guardian of children, comes to their rescue to watch over them as they try again.

Many Ostara Blessings

Photo by Asad Nazir on Pexels.com

Excuse the fact that there was no witch/pagan post, because I wanted to write this post.

“All through the long winter, I dream of my garden. On the first day of spring, I dig my fingers deep into the soft Earth. I can feel its energy, and my spirit soar.” – Helen Hayes

This is a good time to start your seedlings. Are you growing a herbal garden, then get the soil ready for a late spring planting. Celebrate the balance of light and dark. The pagans of today mark Ostara as a time of renewal & rebirth. So take time to celebrate all of the new life that is teaming in nature, walk, lay in the grass, hike, whatever and observe all things new and old.

CELEBRATE THE CHANGE OF SEASONS.

HOUSKA CASTLE

Number 5 of my “10 Global Hellgates” blog post.

In Czech Republic.

Houska Castle is an early Gothic castle, 47 kilometres (29 mi) north of Prague, in Czechia. It is one of the best preserved castles of the period. It was built in the second half of the 13th century probably on the orders of Bohemian ruler Ottokar II of Bohemia during his reign (1253–78) to serve as an administration center from which the extensive royal estates could be managed. Later it passed to the hands of the aristocracy, frequently passing from the ownership of one to another. In 1584–90 it underwent Renaissance-style modifications, losing none of its fortress features as it looks down from a steep rocky cliff. In the 18th century it ceased to serve as a noble residence and fell into a state of disrepair before being renovated in 1823. In 1897 it was purchased by Princess Hohenlohe and in 1924, the times of the First Republic, bought by the President of Škoda, Josef Šimonek. During World War II, the Germans used the castle to perform inhumane experiments on local people or prisoners of war.” However, “was built with no fortifications, no water, no kitchen, near no trade routes, and with no occupants at its time of completion. The castle was not built as a residence or as a protective sanctuary, but was instead built because the hole was thought to be a gateway to hell. Thus, by constructing the Gothic building, they were able to keep the demons trapped in the lower level thickest walls closest to the hole of the castle.” (Source 1)

Legend: Believed to be a gateway to the underworld. A mansion was built to seal up a “bottomless pit”. The people of the nearby towns believed that this gateway allowed terrifying creatures into the countryside after sunset & were desperate to stop it & the creatures. Prisoners would be lowered down into the pit to see where it ended or if the legends were true; 1 of which was heard screaming in pain & was pulled back up & had aged 40 years & he was never the same. The above castle was built on top of it to seal the pit or gateway. The Nazis used the castle as a secret base, but also to harness the dark powers that are within the castle.

“Today, mysterious phenomena can still be witnessed inside Houska Castle’s walls. The location’s chapel was built directly on top of the bottomless pit and tourists frequently report hearing a chorus of screams blasting through the floor. There have also been numerous reports from inside the chapel regarding a creature that resembles a hybrid of a human, frog, and a bulldog.”

STULL CEMETERY

Number 9 of my “10 Global Hellgates” blog post.

This cemetery is located in Stull, Kansas; founded in 1857 as Deer Creek. But was renamed Stull, after its only postmaster, whose name was Sylvester Stull.

Also seen in episode of “Supernatural”. Just had to put that in there; huge fan of “Supernatural”.

Legend: The legend claims that the Devil appears or did appear, in Stull twice a year: on Halloween & on the spring equinox. The cemetery is one of the gates of Hell. Also has stories of human sacrifice, occult rituals, witchcraft, satanic cults, a doorway to the underworld or hell, a “hanging tree” (where witches were put to death by local townspeople), final resting place of Satan’s child (born deformed & covered with wolf hair), rain refuses to land in the church that had a missing roof, & mores. Also the Pope refuses to fly over it.

BEAUTY OF NATURE

Photo by James Wheeler on Pexels.com

Take a look at the above image. Its beautiful. This the the beauty of nature. Now why would you want to destroy it; with all the trash and other pollutants?

I know my answer! And that’s a NO, you wouldn’t and shouldn’t. Neither the land nor the seas should ever be destroyed by anything, especially trash. (See my blog post “Earth Is Not A Garbage Can”).

ACONITE

Aconite (aconitum napellus) also known as: monkshood, wolfsbane, leopard’s bane, mousebane, women’s bane, devil’s helmet, queen of poisons, or blue rocket. “The name aconitum comes from the Greek ἀκόνιτον, which may derive from the Greek akon for dart or javelin, the tips of which were poisoned with the substance, or from akonae, because of the rocky ground on which the plant was thought to grow. The Greek name lycoctonum, which translates literally to “wolf’s bane“, is thought to indicate the use of its juice to poison arrows or baits used to kill wolves.[8] The English name monkshood refers to the cylindrical helmet, called the galea, distinguishing the flower.”

Poisonous & a potent neurotoxin & cardiotoxin. As little as 2 mg or 1g of it, could cause death from paralysis of the respiratory system or cardiac muscle. Even small contact with its flowers Could cause the fingers to become numb.

In Witchcraft: Protection, Invisibility, consecrate the athame or ritual knife, an infusion with the leaves or root to banish prior energy from magickal blades & infuse with protection, burn root or leave as incense, the fresh flowers & make a tincture that will refresh the power of the knives, magickal wash infusion for ritual tools or sacred space. watchfulness against negative energies in ritual, wash a new cauldron in the infusion, burn aconite in cauldron’s first fire, invoke Hecate, poison arrow tips, & cure for werewolves.

Small History?: “Believed by the ancient Greeks to have arisen in the mouths of Cerberus while under the influence of Hecate. It later was noted as one of the ingredients of the ointment that witches put on their body in order to fly off to their sabbats. In “Dracula” (Spanish, 1931), aconite was substituted for garlic as the primary plant to repel the vampire.” (Source Number 4).

THE MAYAN CENOTES

Mexico

Number 4 in my “10 Global Hellgates” series

“The most accurate theory about the formation of cenotes is truly fascinating. Most parts of the solid ground of Yucatan were underwater thousands of years ago. A lot of living organisms coexisted in these grounds, among coral reefs, plants, and calcium carbonate rich sea life. All these elements created large amounts of limestone that after millions of years gave the white tone to the ground. It is believed that human sacrifices were made in order to be thankful with the gods for the rain or to ask for it. Legend says these cenotes were called the sacred cenotes and today we have the chance to visit them.”

The Maya in the northern lowlands, which encompasses parts of the present-day states of Yucatán, Quintana Roo, and Campeche, relied on cenotes (a Spanish corruption of the Yucatec Mayan word for sinkhole, dzonot) as their primary source of water. According to tradition, caves and cenotes are also the home of Chac, the Maya god of rain, as well as the entrance to Xibalba, the Underworld. In times of drought or stress, or when, Maya leaders appealed to Chac by making offerings to him in cenotes.

By the time the Spanish arrived in the Yucatán and recorded the practice in the sixteenth century, the Maya had been performing human sacrifice for at least a thousand years.”

Could all of the human sacrifice in this area, have opened a gateway or a hellgate?
