Science fiction is without a doubt one of the most well-liked film, television, and book genres.

Everybody has a favorite science fiction TV show, film, or book. Space-related stories are a subset of that. One of my favorite must-watch TV genres is space exploration. What, though, makes a good science fiction space story?

Some could argue that it has to do with the futuristic scenario, which has cutting-edge technology and vastly different planets from our own; worlds where humanity is no longer bound to Earth and space travel is feasible.

There is something incredibly interesting about the size of the universe and the endless possibilities it presents. We may never be able to colonize planets because space is still an unexplored region. We feel hopeful about the future after watching these shows.

These are only a few of the top space-related science fiction television programs.

I strongly advise checking them out and watching them if you enjoy space fiction.

It’s not really over just because it’s over, as the great philosopher Katy Perry once put it.

Which is true for this franchise. The Vampire Diaries universe will continue to be expanded with upcoming spinoff projects, says Legacies showrunner Julie Plec.

Despite The CW’s cancellation of Legacies, the network’s final Vampire Diaries project, Plec assured Entertainment Weekly that there are still more stories to be told. She said this, “We had a plan to keep the franchise on the air until the next installment, which exists in our brains, but not on the page yet. Following the broadcast of Legacies’ series finale, which ended the franchise for the foreseeable future, this update was released. Plec assured her that “there will be another one,” so she could continue exploring Mystic Falls despite the cancellation. She said, “We’re a little sad, we’re going to take a beat,” she continued, “But yeah, there’s more ideas. There’s more to do.” There is presently no information available on the forthcoming spinoff series’ release date or location for fans to watch it.

Legacies’ last episode welcomed a new group of talented teenagers, paving the way for further tales set in the made-up Salvatore Boarding School. Several fan favorites from The Originals and The Vampire Diaries made a triumphant comeback at the series finale.

For ages, the Roman legions formed the backbone of Rome’s military supremacy. These destructive armies extended and solidified Roman control from northern Scotland to the Persian Gulf. The Ninth Legion was the only one of these legions whose fate remained unknown.

The ninth legion of Rome had a long and illustrious history. Although its origins are unknown, the first reference of a ninth legion occurs during a period of severe turbulence in the Roman Republic.

Caesar’s Companions

The Ninth Legion would fight in some of antiquity’s most famous battles.
It was one of the four initial legions that Caesar received from the senate in 59 BC, providing him with the strength he required to launch his legendary Gallic conquest. From his early battle with the Helvetii at Bibracte to the legendary siege of Alesia, the Ninth Legion was instrumental in Caesar’s Gallic campaign’s success and ascension to power.

In fact, it’s possible that this legion accompanied Caesar on his second, short-lived expedition to Britannia, the island at the limit of the known world, in 54 BC. They had no idea that nearly a century later, a Ninth legion would return to this faraway island.

The Ninth legion was formidable at the end of Caesar’s Gallic Wars and 9 years of fighting: its members were battle-hardened, and their allegiance to Caesar was important. Caesar was well aware of this and would frequently rely on it.

Famous Battles

There have been many famous battles and wars the Ninth Legion fought in. These are a few more in addition to the above wars. They were with Caesar in his war against Pompey the Great. Served Octavian for several years, including the Battle of Actium against Marc Anthony and Cleopatra (Queen of Egypt, at the time). Fought with/for Augustus against the Cantabrians
and Asturians, in northern Spain; where they got their permanent title: Legio IX Hispania. Fought against Tacfariras in north Africa. Then they were bound to Britannia, which became home as they established Lindum Colonia(a fort) in what is modern Lincolin; fought against Caratacus and little bit after the Battle of Caer Caradoc they managed to capture him. Also
fought against Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni and a woman who was hell-bent on revenge for what the Romans did to her and her family. Under Gnaeus Julius Agricola command, the Ninth Legion fought in Scotland against the Caledonians. And when Agricola divided his forces the Caledonians took advantage and targeted one of these forces, which happened to be the Ninth Legion.

The Mystery

After the battle with the Caledonians, the Ninth Legion seems to have disappeared. There are many theories as to what happened to them, but the true reason is still unknown. While some say the legion vanished in Scotland (which may have triggered the construction of Hadrian’s Wall), others believe the legion vanished in a different country entirely. Officially, it is believe that the brutal ambush by the Caledonians destroyed them. However, others are not so sure. Could it have been supernatural/paranormal explanation.

Its a huge puzzle!
