As you know I have a new Grimoire that I had made by hand, but i have plans to make a few changes the book.
Here is an image of it as it currently is:
I also have several other projects that i am working on or just in planning stages: a Dream Journal, Bestiary, a journal/book of shadows/Grimoire for a character that I had created, and a dossier for this character. With plans to create more projects.
All these craft plans, I am putting into a Project Planner. There should always be a plan before you attempt to do anything.
When I was a child & teenager, i really wasn’t that into crafting. But now that I’m older, I am creating several things and really getting into it.
Have you seen the Resident Evil trailer? It looks so great. “Village”, has werewolf-like beings, witches(or what seems like a witch), and more. Will be coming out on Playstation 5 console.
Soooooooo cooooool!
IF not then check out the trailer here follow this link:
What type of book do you have? A Book of Shadows or a Grimoire? Or both?
Well I have both, as well as several other books for my Craft.
This is my binder Book of Shadows, that is totally full.
I also have a composition book and a double-dragon journal that I am using as well.
And this is my new Grimoire, that I had recently finished. There is a title page and a Book Blessing, but i will be adding a lot more; including a Book Dedication and information on my Craft: The Wild Powers.
P.S. This was suppose to be the post for yesterday, but I got to busy.
There are many entertainment items that depict Cthulhu and The Necronomicon, from books to comic books to movies to video games.
So what is your favorite Cthulhu mythos video games?
Mine are: “The Sinking City” & “Call of Cthulhu”.
There is also a new video game that I am looking forward to & that is “The Innsmouth Case”.
So what the H&** am I talking?
The Necronomicon, also called the Book of the Dead or the original Kitab al-Azif, which is a grimoire grimoire (textbook of magic). In the stories of H.p. Lovecraft & many other authors. Many people believe it is fiction, but many others believe that its very real.
“The Cthulhu Mythos encompasses the shared elements, characters, settings, and themes found in the works of H.P. Lovecraft and associated horror fiction writers. Together, they form the mythos that authors writing in the Lovecraftian milieu have used — and continue to use — to craft their stories.[1] The term itself was coined by the writer August Derleth. Although this legendarium is also sometimes called the Lovecraft Mythos, most notably by the Lovecraft scholar S.T. Joshi, it has long since moved beyond Lovecraft’s original conception.”
“The Sinking City is an action-adventure game developed by Frogwares. Inspired by the works of horror fiction author H. P. Lovecraft, it is set in the fictional city of Oakmont, Massachusetts during the 1920s, the story follows private investigator and war veteran Charles W. Reed as he searches for clues to the cause of the terrifying visions plaguing him, and becomes embroiled in the mystery of Oakmont’s unrelenting flooding.”
“The Innsmouth Caseis a detective adventure in the style of an interactive book inspired by the fantastical works of horror legend H.P. Lovecraft. The unique mixture of horror and humor makes The Innsmouth Case the first scary-comedy-text-adventure of its kind. A game in which every decision counts, and there is far more than one way to successfully solve the case … or fail miserably!”
Both Lamia and Empusa, were in Greek mythology female demons that took on the forms of beautiful women in order to lure young men into their beds so they could feed on their flesh &/or blood. They “were the ancient equivalent of vampires and succubi–vampiric ghosts and demons.”
“Lamia had the tail of a serpent in place of legs, while the Empousa had flaming hair and two mismatched legs, one of brass, one of an ass.”
Lamia “was a woman who became a child-eating monster after her children were destroyed by Hera, who learned of her husband Zeus‘ trysts with her. Hera also afflicted Lamia with sleeplessness so she would anguish constantly, but Zeus gave her the ability to remove her own eyes.”
“Empusa or Empousa is a shape-shifting female being in Greek mythology, said to possess a single leg of copper, commanded by Hecate, whose precise nature is obscure.[1] In Late Antiquity, the empousai has been described as a category of phantoms or spectres, equated with the lamiai and mormolykeia, thought to seduce and feed on young men.”
Are you a fan of “The Silence of the Lambs”? Or a fan of “Clarice Starling”?
Then you should know that there is a TV show/series that is coming to CBS. Rebecca Breeds will be playing “Clarice Starling”, she was on “The Originals” as “Aurora de Martel”.
Synopsis: One year after the event of “The Silence of the Lambs”. This is “a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.”
Possibly before the 2001 movie “Hannibal” or this is ignored all together. Either way its going to be a great TV series. And if they do it right, it could replace “Criminal Minds”, which is suppose to be ending. I for one would enjoy seeing “Clarice Starling” TV series that shows her in action. As long as they don’t make her a homemaker-type of character; she should be tough as nails, if not tougher, she needs to a strong woman, takes crap from no one kind of woman.
